Georgii Zmaga, a member of our group, visited Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST, Wuhan, China). During the visit, Georgii worked in several of the university’s laboratories.
For a project on detecting weak Raman signals from single molecules, high-resolution intensity maps were measured in the HUST optics laboratory. With the help of collaborators from the university, he also visited the Optics Valley Laboratory, whose staff work on imaging and on applying machine learning and other tools to the analysis of optical signals. This experience gives us good reason to expect further cooperation and joint applied projects in photonics.
