His research is devoted to developing and studying the optical properties of silicon micro- and nanosystems that can become the basis for advanced scalable nanophotonic security labels.
Demand for reliable anti-counterfeiting technologies is growing rapidly. The solutions on the market no longer provide sufficient security, so physically unclonable labels are gaining ground.
Such labels cannot be reproduced or copied even by their manufacturer. Silicon-based nanophotonic structures open the way to such technologies thanks to their versatility and optical stability.
In his work, Pavel shows how controlling the optical properties of four different types of nanophotonic structures makes it possible to create hidden physically unclonable security labels.
